In The Beginning

November 13, 2016. The day that weeks of wrestling with a divine inspiration to begin this great work would be confirmed and the day that would mark the first day of the greatest adventure of my life. The vision for what I am calling this project, One Million Miracles, was clarified to me in an exact a-ha moment that I will never, ever forget. It was a moment of clarity like I had never experienced before and would alter the course of the rest of my life as I knew it.
A month prior, I had become acutely aware that I had been inspired to begin a ministry of sorts, one that would capture the evidence of God working in the lives of everyday individuals. And the only other thing I knew at that time was that it was supposed to involve video media. I am just a regular person with no background in ministry, photography, or journalism. And this vision came along at a time in my life where I had absolutely no extra time or resources to take on something so large and outside of my comfort zone in countless areas. But that is a story I will save for a TED talk someday long in the future. And trust me, it will be good!
From the onset, I had the keen sense that the idea of me, a person with little understanding of all things technology and who struggles with simple iPhone functions and had absolutely no real understanding or training in media production, was in deep. Like, way over my head. In spite of this, God told me from the very beginning that He would provide the right people, the right resources, the right everything, and at the right time. I just had to be willing to say yes. And take the first step.
Miracle: an unusual event, thing, or accomplishment that is believed to be caused by the power of God. Miracles are perhaps the greatest mystery and marvel, sometimes even a source of great debate among a spectrum of humans that extends from the utmost religious to the utmost atheistic in belief. Regardless of where you sit today on that spectrum, I am absolutely convinced, with every fiber in my being, that God is going to do something big with this project, something so marvelous and sweet and so awesome that millions of people on this planet will be affected. I know this because this really is HIS project. I am simply the steward of the vision that said yes.
That is it.
The mission of this project is to connect people around the world with the reality that God is real, through the art of storytelling. The stories that you will see documented have happened to real people and can be independently verified. I promise you that they will show you God in a way that perhaps you have never known him and my hope and prayer for you is that these stories would at the very least, stir something deep within your heart and soul that causes you to want to know more.
This is the documentation of One Million modern-day miracles for today's generation.
And beyond!
